095 – Spit! August 29, 2017

August 30, 2017

In today’s episode of Spit! David and Scott implore the WSL to make our ‘CT surfers compete at Mavericks (hashtag anyone?), they analyze the upcoming Lowers Pro and attempt to decipher Aussie slang. They also mandate that Kelly and Kalani should make a baby, and explain why the best surf trip of your life will be in frigid waters. Oh! And Dukes and Kooks and so much more! Enjoy! (BTW, there’s a weird little glitch/buzzing from about 32 mins to 50 mins. Faulty wire connection. Sorry!)

If the Olympics were held right now then the seppos (kahuna’s aren’t seppos) would have buckley’s. Deadset, even if you pinch micro (he’s true blue anyway) you drongos will be as dry as a nun’s nasty if you’re planning on a piss up.

The City of San Clemente and a gated community called The Reserve for filing lawsuits seeking to overturn the protection agreement settled in November 2016 that indefinitely prevent the development of the 241 toll road. Their contention is that that there was an absence of public comment and environmental review surrounding the original decision.

Should surf scoring be completely revamped? In bull riding the bull gets scored and the rider gets scored. If your bull only bucks fair, your score gets limited, no matter how well you ride

Excellent surfing on an average wave – should the score be capped at 8? Average surfing on an excellent wave is an 5!!
As Scott loves to tell us, the waves are the stars! So let the surfer get scored on wave selection as well as quality of surfing.
I think the judges may do some of this already, but surfers should know if they need an 8 at 4ft JBay, taking off on a 2 footer and doing a rodeo ain’t going to cut it.

    Cheers
